Physical Education at Holbrook
At Holbrook, we provide a unique and child-centred approach to PE which enables every child to be engaged, supported and challenged. This approach is based on the 6 key abilities that children need to be successful across the PE, Sport and wider curriculum. These skills are – personal, social, cognitive, creative, physical, and health and fitness and align with the requirements of the National Curriculum.
Holbrook offers a wide variety of PE related extra-curricular activities provided by both staff and external providers. These take place before and after the school day and details of these are sent out each term.
The school also takes part in an extensive range of fixtures, festivals and tournaments against other schools that are generally organised by Horsham District Sports Development. These provide both competitive and inclusive opportunities for the children.
As a result, children leave Holbrook with physical confidence and able to lead healthy, active lives.
