Academic Achievement 2018

We are very proud of our achievements in raising standards across the school over the last 3 years.  As you can see from the tables below, our pupils have achieved notable successes this year with many of the results (attainment and progress) being above the national averages.

Whilst we want all of our pupils to be highly skilled in the core subjects of English and Maths, we are able to balance this with a broad and balanced curriculum that is underpinned by meaningful and memorable experiences.

Key Stage 2

We were very pleased that Holbrook pupils continue to attain above national expectations in so many subjects.  Progress in Maths and Reading was strong, whilst progress in Writing was above national expectations.  The continued improvement in the number of pupils achieving the higher standard this year was another area that we are proud of and evidence of challenge for our most able pupils.

We were delighted that Holbrook School achieved significantly above national averages in the Year 1 Phonics check.  This indicates the strength of provision for all of our pupils and their strong start to learning in Reception and Year 1.

Early Years Foundation Stage

We are delighted that our EYFS results remain significantly above national averages and illustrate how Holbrook children benefit from a strong start to their school career.   The results have improved year upon year since 2015 and are set alongside the national averages as a comparison.
