The National Curriculum occupies most of the children’s time. There are
three core subjects (English, mathematics and science)
and seven foundation subjects (history, geography,
design/technology, I.C.T, art/design, music, physical
education). Religious education is an additional
subject. |
|
In addition to the subjects of the National Curriculum, children
experience aspects of personal and social education,
health and safety, gender and multicultural issues,
environmental and outdoor education. Children in Y6 are
also given the opportunity to start to study French.
Educational visits, both day and residential, and
visitors to school, also make important contributions to
children’s learning in all fields. |
